◈Local Guide
Our favourite spots in Crested Butte
The undisputed best coffee in CB. Small-batch beans roasted locally, beautifully pulled espresso, and a warm space that feels like the town's living room. Start every morning here.
A beloved Elk Ave fixture with solid espresso drinks and a great front porch for people-watching. Locals' go-to for a casual morning coffee before hitting the trails.
Yes, they do coffee too — and beautifully. The same care that goes into their wine list applies to their morning espresso. A quieter, more refined option for a slow start.
Schedule
The day we have been waiting for
Morning
Grab coffee at Mathis Bros or The Brick and ease into the day. Walk down Elk Avenue, browse the galleries, or pick up something from the local shops.
Mid-Morning
Snodgrass Trail above town is stunning in peak aspen gold — a 5.5-mile loop with sweeping valley views. Or head up Washington Gulch for a quieter, incredibly scenic walk through some of the best fall colour near CB. Bring layers.
Afternoon
If you have a car, a drive up Kebler Pass through Colorado's largest aspen grove is something you will never forget. Peak gold is usually right around September 28th.
3:30 PM
The venue opens for guests. Come early, breathe the mountain air, and find your seat. We'll be sneaking in a few final deep breaths of our own.
4:00 PM
We say "I do" — surrounded by the mountains we love, the aspen gold, and every single one of you. This is the moment.
~4:45 PM
Raise a glass to us while we sneak away for photos. Bubbles, bites, and that golden mountain light. The party has officially started.
~6:00 PM
The celebration moves into town — dinner, drinks, pizza from the oven, a dance floor we plan to fully destroy, and a night none of us will ever forget.
Late Night
Elk Avenue's bars will be waiting. Princess Wine Bar for something lovely, Talk of the Town for something loud. We'll see you there.

Cocktail Chic — elevated, polished, and put-together. This is a celebration in the mountains, so bring both elegance and warmth.
A cocktail dress, elegant midi, or a sophisticated jumpsuit. Jewel tones, earthy hues, dusty pinks, sage, navy, and champagne all look stunning against the mountain backdrop.
A suit or blazer with dress trousers. A dress shirt is essential — tie optional. Navy, charcoal, and earth tones photograph beautifully. Pocket squares are always a good idea.
Please avoid white or cream — those shades are reserved for the bride. September evenings can cool to 35–45°F after sunset, so a layer or blazer is a smart call. Opt for heels you can walk on grass or gravel in.
